Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) Tamil Nadu conducts the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET). Candidates who qualify the exam are considered eligible for Primary, Upper Primary Level teacher posts in the state of Tamil Nadu. TNTET has two papers, Paper 1 (for Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (for Classes 6 to 8). Both papers have different eligibility criteria, exam patterns and syllabi. TNTET qualified candidates are provided with the eligibility certificate which is now valid for a lifetime.
